BSP supremo Kumari Mayawati will hold an election rally for BSP candidate and party state president Jasvir Singh Garhi from Sri Anandpur Sahib seat in Nawanshahr of Punjab tomorrow. This will be his 6th visit to the new city. Before this, he had come to New City in 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections and 2012, 2016, 2022 assembly elections.

There are many reasons behind Mayawati giving priority to Nawanshahr every time, including the party's mass base in Doaba and one of the reasons is that at present the only MLA of BSP in Punjab is from Nawanshahr.
