On the orders of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s government, several Punjab Police employees, ranging from constables to inspectors, have been dismissed. Punjab Police DGP Gaurav Yadav stated that 52 personnel have been removed from service so far.

This action was taken following allegations of corruption against these officials. While the exact timing of the dismissals remains unclear, the issue has come to light after the Punjab government took action against the Deputy Commissioner of Sri Muktsar Sahib district.

According to reports, Sri Muktsar Sahib DC Rajesh Tripathi was suspended on February 17 in connection with a corruption case.
