Congress leaders have protested this on social media accounts and termed it a digital emergency.

The former advisor of Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu, Malvinder Singh Mali, who was arrested by the Punjab Police last night, has been sent to Patiala jail on judicial remand till October 1 by the Mohali court.

This action against Malvinder Singh Mali has taken place in the case of hurting religious sentiments in an interview on YouTube. After his arrest, the politics of Punjab has also heated up. Congress leaders have protested this on social media accounts and termed it a digital emergency. Mali retired from the education department of Punjab a few years ago.

He is the PA of late Gurcharan Singh Tohra. On September 17, he was to attend a seminar dedicated to the birth centenary of late Tohra as the keynote speaker.
