Kap's Cafe reopens again after second shooting incident

Kap's Cafe, which was the target of two shootings in Surrey, has reopened again. The cafe was closed for about 10 days after the first shooting on July 10.

Kapil Sharma had initially shared a post about the cafe's reopening, but within weeks of reopening in July, the cafe was again the target of a shooting in early August. The cafe reopened again on October 1, the Connect FM team reached the cafe on Thursday (Oct. 2nd) and tried to get comments from the cafe manager.

The manager denied any comment on camera and said that the management had refused to provide any official information. At around 12 noon, there were about 5 customers inside the cafe, and the staff were working like any other normal day and it was difficult to guess from looking around the cafe that this cafe had been the target of a shooting incident twice.

However, a Surrey Police Service vehicle was still parked outside the cafe at that time.

Later Connect FM also spoke to Surrey Police Service Staff Sergeant Lindsey Houghton and asked if any special security arrangements had been made near the cafe.

Sgt. Houghton said, “due to security reasons, not much information could be given regarding the security arrangements, but he confirmed that an overt camera has been installed outside the cafe and that people will also be able to see a police vehicle or officer near the cafe in the coming days and weeks.”

Connect FM also talked to a customer present in the cafe who said, “I am disappointed with the shooting incidents happening in the area.” He also requested the people carrying out criminal activities to not indulge in such acts and focus on making progress with hard work.
