This was the second case of dismissal by India in the Pakistani High Commission in the past one week. Earlier, India had dismissed a Pakistani official on May 13 for involvement in espionage activities.

At the same time, in response to this, the Pakistan Foreign Ministry said in a statement that it has asked an official of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad to leave Pakistan within 24 hours.
