Several countries, including the US, China, Russia and Qatar, have urged both sides to exercise restraint over India's airstrikes in Pakistan. India carried out airstrikes inside Pakistan late on Tuesday night. Pakistan says 26 people have been killed and 46 injured in the attack.
The United Nations and several countries have urged both sides to exercise maximum restraint, while US President Donald Trump has expressed hope that the tension will end soon. Amid tensions with Pakistan, Iranian Foreign Minister Saeed Abbas Araghchi is arriving in Delhi.
Iran has already offered to mediate between the two countries. India's Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement that Araghchi will meet President Droupadi Murmu and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.
