India defeated Sri Lanka by 41 runs in the final of the Asia Cup.

India entered the final of the Asia Cup 2023.

The Indian team defeated the defending champions Sri Lanka by 41 runs in their second Super-4 match.

Batting first, India won the toss and scored 213 runs at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

In response, the Sri Lankan team has been bowled out for 172 runs in 41.3 overs.

Kuldeep Yadav's performance in this match was excellent.

Captain Rohit Sharma scored the highest 53 runs for India.

Apart from this, KL Rahul scored 39 runs, Ishan Kishan scored 33 runs and Akshar Patel scored 26 runs.

Dunith Wellalage took 5 wickets, Charith Asalanka 4 and Maheesh Theekshana 1 for Sri Lanka.

Chasing the target, Sri Lanka managed to score only 172 runs in 41.3 overs and lost the match by 41 runs.

For India, Jasprit Bumrah took 2, Mohammad Siraj 1, Kuldeep Yadav 4, Hardik Pandya 1 and Ravindra Jadeja took 2 wickets.
