Important Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Meeting Scheduled for March 17

The next important meeting of the executive committee of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) will be held in Chandigarh on March 17. It is anticipated that a decision regarding the resignation of SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami may be made during this meeting.

Senior Vice President of the SGPC, Raghujit Singh Virk, did not disclose the agenda for the meeting but suggested that matters related to the committee will be discussed.

It is worth noting that former Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Raghveer Singh, had criticized the manner in which Giani Harpreet Singh was removed as Jathedar of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib in a social media post. This led to the resignation of four-time SGPC President, Advocate Harjinder Singh.
