Former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper strongly endorsed Pierre Poilievre as Canada's next prime minister during the party's Edmonton rally on Monday night. Harper stated that Canada is in desperate need of change and emphasized that Poilievre will be the leader to guide the country after a decade of Liberal rule.

The Edmonton rally, described as the largest of Poilievre's election campaign so far, attracted over 10,000 attendees, according to organizers.

Harper spoke to the crowd just 10 minutes before Poilievre took the stage. He acknowledged that Canada is facing historically challenging times, partly due to the policies of the Trump administration, but added that the problems the country faces today are not solely a result of U.S. actions. According to Harper, the Liberal government is directly responsible for many of the issues Canada is dealing with.

Notably, Harper remained for Poilievre’s hour-long speech as the special guest at the rally.
