BJP's candidate from Faridokat Lok Sabha constituency in Punjab, Hansraj Hans has started his election campaign, before which he paid obeisance at Tilla Baba Farid. Before him, Karamjit Anmol was running his election campaign for AAP in this constituency.

Meanwhile, Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal have not announced their candidates yet. It is believed that Muhammad Sadiq can be a candidate again on behalf of Congress.

Three North York residents have been sentenced for their roles in a stolen liquor trafficking operation involving more than $1.3 million worth of alcohol, according to Halton Regional Police. British Columbia's Minister of Forests and BC Wildfire Service, Ravi Parmar, says 129 wildfires are currently active across the province.
