In return for supporting the minority government of the Liberals, the NDP had placed several conditions, including the pharmacare condition.

The Canadian government is going to present the pharmacare bill in a day or two. Health Minister Mark Holland has listed it on the notice paper of the House of Commons.

The government's House Leader Steve MacKinnon said on his way to the Liberal meeting this morning that he expects it to be tabled on Thursday because the deadline under the agreement with the NDP is Friday.

Initially, diabetes and birth control drugs are being covered.

In return for supporting the minority government of the Liberals, the NDP had placed several conditions, including the pharmacare condition.

The NDP had previously given a deadline of December 2023, but the deadline was extended to February this year after the Liberals asked for more time, and Jagmeet Singh warned if the Liberals could not introduce a pharmacare bill by March 1, they will then break the agreement.

However, Jagmeet Singh said that he had no intention of calling the election immediately but if the Liberals passed the deadline this time, he would look on a case-by-case basis to give support.

Several children were taken to hospital after a school bus left a highway in western Manitoba on Tuesday morning, according to RCMP.
