Aam Aadmi Party Lok Sabha Member Sushil Rinku has joined the BJP from Jalandhar in Punjab. He was the only Lok Sabha member of AAP. Sheetal Angural, MLA from Jalandhar West Constituency has also joined the BJP along with them.

This is a big blow for the Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab as the party had announced Sushil Rinku as its candidate for the Lok Sabha elections for the second time.

However, there were already speculations of Rinku joining the BJP. Bhagwant Maan reacted on social media in a poem about Rinku and Angural joining BJP.

At the same time, Rinku said in a statement that there is progress in the neighboring states of Punjab only because of the BJP, that is why they have taken this step for the betterment of the people of Jalandhar.
