A former junior hockey broadcaster and executive in Alberta and British Columbia is facing serious charges involving alleged sexual offences against minors. RCMP believe there may be additional victims in the case.
Thirty-nine-year-old Tyler Robb King was arrested in Ontario after crossing the border from New York State. Alberta RCMP laid charges in the case on Monday.
The investigation began after an employee of the Okotoks Oilers Hockey Association reported that a former employee was allegedly encouraging players to send intimate images and sexually explicit videos in exchange for money.
King is facing three counts of child luring. The alleged offences reportedly took place between June 2021 and October 2024 in Okotoks, Alberta.
He is also charged with sexual assault and offences related to making, printing, publishing or possessing child pornography.
