Environment Canada says a strong ridge of high pressure will bring a short-lived heat wave to many areas of BC starting tomorrow and lasting until at least Thursday.
The weather agency has issued a series of heat warnings covering inland sections of BC's north coast, along with parts of the southern Interior, including the Fraser Canyon and Central Okanagan, where daytime highs are expected to reach 35 to 40 degrees.
Daytime highs between 29 to 35 degrees inland and 27 degrees near the water are expected for Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, eastern Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast.
Environment Canada says unsettled weather and potentially cooler temperatures are forecast beginning Friday.
