Donald Trump plans to declare a national emergency upon assuming office to expel large numbers of illegal immigrants from the U.S. and will also use the military to carry out the deportations.

He confirmed this morning, in response to a user’s question on his social media platform, Truth Social, that he intends to declare a national emergency on border security and deploy the U.S. military to carry out mass deportations of illegal immigrants.

Officials estimate that around 11 million people are living in the United States illegally. Trump’s mass deportation plan is expected to directly affect approximately 20 million families.

During his election rallies, Trump promised to expel illegal immigrants from the U.S., and he has consistently reaffirmed his commitment to this plan, even after winning the election.
