Punjab Congress president and elected Lok Sabha member from Ludhiana Amarinder Singh Raja Waring has alleged that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann recently transferred 10,000 police personnel across the state because they voted for the Congress.

He claimed that the Chief Minister took action against the police officers to express his frustration over the poor performance of the party in the Lok Sabha elections. It may be mentioned that the Aam Aadmi Party won only three out of 13 seats in the state.

Waring said that Bhagwant Mann as Chief Minister and Home Minister should not have said that Punjab Police is involved in drugs.

The Punjab Congress president said that in two and a half years, the Aam Aadmi Party government could not trace the people involved in the drug business. Waring claimed that the Congress government will be formed in the state in 2027.

Duane Nepoose pleaded guilty earlier this year to several charges, including dangerous driving causing death, dangerous driving causing bodily harm, robbery, and fleeing from police following a Boxing Day collision in Calgary. Court proceedings revealed that Nepoose had stolen a minivan and was speeding through city traffic when he ran a red light, colliding with another vehicle. The crash killed nine-year-old Victoria Desjardins and injured se
