In his first election rally in Punjab today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned India-Pakistan partition and said that for 70 years we had to see Sri Kartar Sahib through binoculars. During the address, PM Modi alleged that the Congress divided the country in the greed for power.

He said that the Congress made such a division that India's (Punjab) Sri Kartarpur Sahib remained in Pakistan. He said that in 1971 there was an Indo-Pakistani war, in which more than 90,000 Pakistani soldiers surrendered and if they were in power, they would have taken Kartarpur Sahib before leaving the Pakistani soldiers. Meanwhile, he attacked the Congress over the Ram temple.

The Prime Minister said that the Ram temple should have been built in Ayodhya immediately after independence, but the Congress did nothing for it. Meanwhile, Manpreet Badal also attended the rally but Captain Amarinder Singh who joined the BJP two years ago did not attend the Prime Minister's Patiala rally due to health issues.
