The open debate on Punjab issues has been boycotted by the opposition parties.

The open debate hosted by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was held at the Dr. Manmohan Singh Auditorium of the Punjab Agricultural University, in which no leader of the opposition attended.

CM Mann directed his hand towards the empty seats and launched sharp verbal attacks on the political opponents.

He said that these leaders did not have any answers to their questions, that is why they ran away today.

Speaking during the 'I speak Punjab' debate, the Chief Minister said that these leaders could not find a single flaw against me and my government for the past 25 days, due to which they could not come before me on issues related to Punjab.

On the other hand, the leader of the opposition, Pratap Singh Bajwa, said that it is a matter of regret that the great debate has become a drama instead of a debate.

Along with this, BJP President Sunil Jakhar raised questions on Chief Minister Bhagwant's open debate, saying that the police did not allow the common people to enter the debate.

He satirized the deployment of police and said that this program was to be conducted in Police Academy Phillaur.

With this, there was no need to seal Ludhiana city and Punjabis would not have to suffer.

Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Badal has also said that curfew was imposed, public entry was banned, anti-riot teams were deployed, representatives of organizations were detained and neutral media was stopped.

He wondered that what kind of "open" debate was this.

Hikvision's subsidiary in Canada had been operating since 2014. It has also faced sanctions in the US, Australia and the UK. Hikvision said it strongly disagrees with the Canadian government's d

I am ready to testify against Majithia: Charanjit Singh Channi

Former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi has made a big claim on the arrest of Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia. 90-day moratorium on tariffs expiring on July 9, no intention to extend: Trump

US President Donald Trump says that he does not intend to extend the 90-day moratorium on tariffs expiring on July 9. He said that the tariffs on countries with which the deadline for negotiations expires without an agreement can remain in effect until they reach a trade agreement with the US. He said that letters will start being sent to the concerned countries before the deadline expires. Trump indicated that most countries will have to face 25 percent, 35 percent or 50 percent or even 10 percent tariffs to sell goods in the US. The President said that negotiations are ongoing but there a

Liquefied natural gas being loaded on Asia-bound tanker docked in Kitimat, B.C.

A tanker that is set to carry Canada's first cargoes of liquefied natural gas across the Pacific to Asian markets is docked at LNG Canada's berth in Kitimat, B.C. A spokesperson for the project says the GasLog Glasgow is being loaded with LNG produced in B.C. British Columbia Coast Pilots say two of their members boarded the tanker at Triple Island and navigated the vessel on a 15-hour, nearly 300-kilometre journey to Kitimat. LNG is natural gas that has been chilled into a liquid state so that it can be transported in specialized marine vessels. LNG Canada is a joint venture between Shell and
