People enrolled in the Canadian Dental Care Plan must renew their eligibility by June 1 to continue receiving dental coverage under the federal program.
The federal government says current coverage will expire on June 30 for individuals who do not complete the renewal process before the deadline. Those affected would need to submit a new application and could face a gap in coverage while waiting for approval.
The Canadian Dental Care Plan is available to Canadians who do not have access to dental insurance through an employer or another private plan and whose adjusted family net income is below $90,000 annually.
To remain eligible, applicants must also have filed their 2025 income tax return before June 1, according to federal program requirements.
The federal dental program was introduced as part of Ottawa’s broader health-care affordability measures and is being rolled out in phases across Canada.
