A day after the statement made by the US on the arrest of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs has on Wednesday summoned American diplomat Gloria Barbena and expressed strong objection.

Foreign Ministry had a meeting with Barbena for about 40 minutes. India said that the US should respect each other's internal affairs and the Indian judiciary should not be questioned.

US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller had said that our government is monitoring the case of Kejriwal's arrest and we hope that the legal process in this case will be fair and transparent and during this time the values of law and democracy will be respected. will be followed.

A similar comment was made by Germany and India also summoned the Deputy Head of the German Embassy. It is to be noted that Kejriwal was arrested from his residence on March 21 in the Delhi liquor scam case.
