An Air Canada aircraft was struck by a Delta Air Lines plane at Los Angeles International Airport on Tuesday morning. According to the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the incident occurred at around 10:30 a.m. local time.
The Delta aircraft was preparing for departure when the tip of its left wing collided with the tail of Air Canada Flight 785, which had arrived from Toronto.
At the time of the incident, the Delta aircraft was carrying 275 passengers and 15 crew members. The Air Canada aircraft was being towed to a gate after all passengers had disembarked.
Fortunately, no passengers or crew members on either aircraft were injured. However, both planes have been taken out of service for inspection and repairs. Photos posted on social media showed minor damage to both aircraft.
