After winning the U.S. presidential election, Donald Trump arrived at the White House today to meet President Biden. The two leaders shook hands during the meeting, and Biden congratulated Trump on his victory. He also reiterated the importance of a smooth transition of power.

With this meeting, the transfer of power process has officially begun at the White House. Trump is set to be sworn in as president on January 20. It is important to note that it has been a longstanding tradition in the United States for the sitting president to hold a formal meeting with the incoming president following an election.

This meeting is viewed as the start of the transfer of power. However, when Donald Trump lost the 2020 election to Biden, he did not invite Biden to the White House.
