Two people are dead and four are injured after a helicopter crashed in Prince George.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has shared this information.

A team of investigators has been deployed following the horrific helicopter crash, the board said in a statement.

The federal agency says a Bell 206L helicopter has crashed.

The accident happened around 7:30 a.m. near Purden Lake, east of Prince George.

Six ambulances were dispatched to the scene, according to BC Emergency Health Services.

The agency said the cause of the helicopter crash was not yet known, but the TSB would gather information and the incident was being investigated.

Corporal Jennifer Cooper asked people passing through the area to slow down and obey flagger signals.

Richmond RCMP arrest suspect in alleged stranger assault involving a weapon

On August 13, 2025, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Richmond RCMP responded to an assault with a weapon at a parkade of a retail shopping centre in the 6500 block of No. 3 Road. Richmond RCMP received the call from an on-duty security guard who heard the commotion and intervened. West Shore RCMP is seeking information from the public to identify a male suspect who was involved in an alleged assault against a woman at Thetis Lake Park in View Royal.
