Crime severity index dropped four per cent last year, Statistics Canada says

The national statistics agency says the volume and severity of police-reported crime in Canada decreased four per cent last year, after three annual increases in a row. Residents raise questions on speeding after crash in Surrey

Two vehicles crashed in the area of 124th Street and 75th Avenue in Surrey at around 9 a.m. this morning. The crash involved a black Tesla SUV and a brown minivan. On August 13, 2025, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Richmond RCMP responded to an assault with a weapon at a parkade of a retail shopping centre in the 6500 block of No. 3 Road.
