Supporters of Channi celebrated outside his residence at Kharar, SAS Nagar in Chandigarh. Congress MLA Charanjit Singh Channi took oath as Punjab Chief Minister at Raj Bhavan in Chandigarh on September 20. The oath was administered by Governor Banwarilal Purohit.
