The family of a northern Alberta woman who died nearly nine years ago is appealing to the public for help in solving the case. RCMP responded to a complaint of an unresponsive woman outside a home in Atikameg, 400 kilometres northwest of Edmonton, on July 29, 2013. House fire reported in northeast Edmonton, child taken to hospital

A five-year-old boy was taken to hospital after a northeast Edmonton house fire Monday evening. Firefighters rescued him from a burning home in Edmonton. Fire crews arrived at the house in the city's northeast just before suppertime. A woman and three other children were able to make it out safely but there was a five-year-old boy that needed to be rescued by firefighters. Officials say the boy was in serious but stable condition.

RCMP in southern Alberta say six teens in Nanton are facing criminal charges after a 13-year-old girl was allegedly chased and bullied late last month. Police say they have arrested and charged five 14-year-olds and a 15-year-old, none of whom can be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
