Delhi Court grants 14 day police custody to arrested in Moose Wala murder
A Delhi Court on Monday granted 14 days custody of three accused, including two shooters, to Delhi Police in connection with Moose Wala's murder case. These accused are allegedly associated with Lawrence Bishnoi Gang. Singer Moose Wala was shot dead in Mansa.
Judge Sanjay Khanagwal of Patiala House Court sent Priyavrat alias Fauji, Kashish alias Kuldeep and Keshav Kumar in custody of Special cell of Delhi police till July 4.

Israel coalition agrees to dissolve, hold new elections
Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's office announced Monday that his weakened coalition will be disbanded and the country will head to new elections.
Bennett has struggled to keep his unruly coalition of eight parties together, and defections have left the crumbling alliance without a majority in parliament for over two months.
Bennett and his main coalition partner, Yair Lapid, decided to present a vote to dissolve parliament in the coming days, Bennett's office said. Lapid is then to serve as caretakever prime minister.

Philippines health official says COVID-19 cases start to peak
The steady uptick in the COVID-19 infections in the Philippines signals the start of the peak of cases, the Philippines' Department of Health (DOH) said on Monday.
"Right now, (we see) that the number of cases is continuously increasing," Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire told a television interview. "We can see that this is really the start in the peak in the number of cases."
Vergeire said the Southeast Asian country is seeing a trend similar to what happened in September 2021 and January 2022.

Sidhu Moose Wala murder case: Two chief sharpshooters arrested
In a major breakthrough, Delhi Police on Monday arrested three persons, including two main shooters in the killing of famed Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala.

NDP Leader Rachel Notley apologizes over mistreatment of volunteers, staff
Alberta NDP Leader Rachel Notley has apologized to party members following complaints about the treatment of NDP staff and volunteers.
An internal letter written three months ago by 15 New Democrat constituency presidents and regional vice-presidents called for an independent third-party review of what they called a pattern of mistreatment.

92 year old priest charged with assault in historic Manitoba residential school case
Manitoba RCMP say a 92 year old priest has been charged after a decade-long investigation into the Fort Alexander Residential School northeast of Winnipeg.Arthur Masse was charged with one count of indecent assault on a 10 year old girl.The school was opened in 1905 in the community of Fort Alexander, which later became the Sagkeeng First Nation.The school closed in 1970.Mounties have said that officers with the major crime unit began looking into the residential school in 2010 and a criminal investigation began the following year.Police have said the investigation involved reviewing archived

B.C. directs pharmacies to keep some types of baby formula behind counter
The threat of a shortage of specialized infant formulas in British Columbia has prompted an order from the Ministry of Health to put the containers behind the counter. The ministry says in a statement the guidelines to pharmacies will help preserve supply during the temporary Canada-wide shortage of hypoallergenic formulas.The statement says manufacturers are distributing the specialized formulas for public purchase exclusively to pharmacies until more product is available.There's no shortage of regular infant formulas in B.C., but food for babies with allergies and certain medical conditions

RCMP investigating shooting in Whalley area that sends one to hospital
Surrey RCMP are investigating a shooting in the Whalley area. Officers were called to the 10000 block of 128A Street at about 9 p.m. for reports of gunshots.When police arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering non-life-threatening injuries.The victim was sent to hospital for treatment.Police say the investigation is in the early stages.Anyone with information is asked to contact Surrey RCMP.

Federal officials say there are 168 confirmed cases of monkeypox in Canada.
