Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will get married to Dr Gurpreet Kaur in a private ceremony at his residence in Chandigarh tomorrow. Mann was divorced from his first wife almost six years back. According to sources, Mann (48) will marry Dr Gurpreet Kaur, a physician by profession who hails from Haryana's Kurukshetra. The wedding ceremony will be attended by Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and his family. Alberta may extend $50/month electricity rebate program until December

The Alberta government is set to announce that electricity rebates will run until December. The are reports that government will extend the 50-dollar per month rebates until the end of the year. In late June, the province confirmed Albertans would see the rebates on their bills in July, August and September. In May, the province said the first three months would give two-million homes, farms and small businesses approximately 300-million dollars in relief.

A visiting Quebec student has died, five days after being injured in a crash between a transit bus and a delivery truck near Castlegar. 18-year-old shooting suspect turns himself in to Burnaby RCMP

A suspect wanted in connection with a December 2025 shooting in North Burnaby has turned himself in to authorities. Burnaby RCMP said officers responded on Dec. 19, 2025, to a report of a shooting near Phillips Avenue and Woodbrook Place.
