Teen stabbed multiple times in fight over vape pen

Two Vancouver teens were hospitalized last night following a violent encounter on the city’s west side, which Vancouver Police believe started when one youth accused the other of stealing a vape pen. One teen suffered multiple stab wounds and required surgery. Several witnesses reported seeing two people fighting near a bus stop at Dunbar and West 41st Avenue around 8:30 p.m. When VPD officers responded, they located a 17-year-old suffering from a number of life-threatening wounds. The victim was bleeding profusely, and a VPD officer applied pressure to the wounds to stem the bleeding. The

Two police officers killed in Innisfil, Ont., shooting identified

One of the police officers killed in a shooting in Innisfil, north of Toronto, has been identified as a 33 year veteran of the South Simcoe Police Service. 54 year old Constable Morgan Russell was a trained crisis negotiator. He and 33 year old Constable Devon Northrup, who was a member of the mental health crisis outreach team, died after responding to a disturbance call at a home last night. A 23 year old man was also killed. Neighbours say an elderly couple with an adult grandson lived in the house where the shooting took place.

Australian man killed in Banff climbing accident

Alberta RCMP say an Australian man has died while rock climbing in Banff National Park. Daniel Heritage, who was 28, fell from Cascade Mountain on Wednesday. Paramedics, Parks Canada, and STARS Air Ambulance responded to the area. A GoFundMe page says his wife witnessed the accident and he died in her arms.
