In Punjab, the Bharatiya Janata Party has announced the names of three more candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. The party has fielded former cabinet minister Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi from Firozpur. Meanwhile, Subhash Sharma has been given ticket from Anandpur Sahib, while Arvind Khanna will contest from Sangrur. The BJP is contesting the Lok Sabha elections for the first time in Punjab without an alliance with the Shiromani Akali Dal after almost two and a half decades. Brampton man identified as homicide victim after body found in Stoney Creek

Hamilton Police have identified a man whose body was found in a Stoney Creek creek on Wednesday morning as 29-year-old Taranpreet Singh Sidhu of Brampton.
