B.C. reports five COVID-19 outbreaks in long-term care homes, three deaths

British Columbia health officials say there are COVID-19 outbreaks in five independent and assisted living care homes in the province. In a news release Monday, they say four of the outbreaks are in the Fraser Health region while one is in Northern Health. Vancouver Coastal Health says a COVID-19 outbreak at the Care Centre at Hollyburn House is over. The BC RCMP has notified the Independent Investigations Office of British Columbia (IIO BC) of an incident in Surrey resulting in one man’s death. Just before 3 p.m. on Thursday July 1, frontline officers were called to a liquor retail outlet in 7100-block of 138 Street, Surrey for a report that a man had allegedly assaulted two employees. Police investigate ATV fatality in Nanaimo

At approximately 6:30 am on Sunday July 4, 2021, the Nanaimo RCMP were notified by the BC Ambulance Service of a fatal ATV incident involving a 38-year-old Nanaimo man. The incident is believed to have occurred sometime between 12:30 am and 5:30 am, on a sprawling rural property, in the 1600 block of Nanaimo River Road. Metro Vancouver real estate sales eased in June as benchmark price was flat

The real estate market in Metro Vancouver eased in June from its record-setting pace in March and April.
