Metro Vancouver real estate sales eased in June as benchmark price was flat

The real estate market in Metro Vancouver eased in June from its record-setting pace in March and April. The Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver says the number of home sold in the region totalled 3,762 last month, up 54 per cent from the 2,443 sales recorded a year earlier, but down 11.9 per cent from the 4,268 sold in May 2021. Sales last month were 18.4 per cent above the 10-year June sales average. This morning, Monday, July 5, 2021, at 5:09 am, Abbotsford Police Patrol officers responded to a report of a body found in the Clinton Ave access parking lot of Clearbrook Park. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased man. The investigation is in its very early stages; the victim’s identity, motive and cause of death are unknown. Foul play is suspected. VPD officers seriously stabbed after 9-1-1 call about a forcible confinement

Two Vancouver Police officers were stabbed this morning while responding to a 9-1-1 call about a forcible confinement involving a two-year-old child. Both officers were transported to hospital where they are now in stable condition. The police officers responded to a residential building near Keefer Street and Gore Avenue at about 10 a.m. When they entered the suite, a struggled ensued with the suspect and two officers were stabbed.
