Nanaimo home destroyed in an explosion

Emergency crews were in the area of Pine St at Fitzwilliam St of Nanaimo on Sunday.At approximatley 8:20pm, a vacant home was destroyed by an explosion. The immediate area was closed to the public after the incident. 2 people were injured in the incident according to reports. First responders asked motorists to avoid the area after the explosion. A nearby home was also impacted due to the strong explosion.
