Premier Horgan believes Alberta Premier's comments on the discrimination faced by those who did not get vaccinated against COVID-19 are laughable

Premier John Horgan says he believes his Alberta counterpart's comments on the discrimination faced by those who did not get vaccinated against COVID-19 are short-sighted as well as laughable. Horgan says Danielle Smith chose to focus on a sliver of the population when she said yesterday that unvaccinated people have experienced the most discrimination she has ever seen in her lifetime. But he says he believes most Canadians understood that they had a collective responsibility to get their shots. He also told C-FAX radio in Victoria that it was the wrong move when the world is going through a

Elections BC says that despite the failure, the recall proponent must return the petition sheets to Elections BC, although signature counts won't be released or verified. Hockey Canada resignations only first step in changing culture: PM Trudeau

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says it took too long for Hockey Canada's leadership to step down and their departure now is only the first step to transforming the culture of hockey in Canada. The president of Hockey Canada and the board of directors left their roles Tuesday following months of pressure for change at the top of the organization amid questions of their handling of abuse and sexual assault cases. Trudeau says there is a culture to change in the sport to protect employees, athletes and children across the country. He and Sport Minister Pascale St-Onge have been demanding the resi

The changes also required them to cover 30 per cent of the cost of supplemental services, including dental care, vision care, physiotherapy and mental health services. The policy drew criticism from frontline physicians, human rights organizations and community advocates, who argued

B.C. Conservative Leader John Rustad has criticized Premier David Eby over his public response as thousands of people across British Columbia remain under evacuation orders because of ongoing wildfires. Rustad said it was unacceptable that the premier had not addressed the public while many residents remain displaced and families are uncertain whether their homes have survived. He described the situation as a failure of leadership, saying people affected by the fires expect clear answers and support from the province's top elected official. According to statements released by the B.C. Conserva
