Amber Alert issued for 14 year old boy abducted in Toronto
An Amber Alert has been issued for a 14 year old boy who Toronto police say was abducted in the northwestern part of the city.Police said in a tweet Wednesday night that they are "extremely concerned" for the safety of Shammah Jolayemi.The teen was last seen Wednesday at 8:25 a.m. in the area of Jane Street and Driftwood Avenue, they said. Health officials announce new presumptive case of novel coronavirus in Quebec
Quebec public health officials are reporting the province's second presumptive case of the new coronavirus.
The province’s Health Department announced this morning that the patient had returned from a trip, but it did not say from where. Tests performed by the province's public health lab came back positive for the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, but the result needs to be confirmed by the National Microbiology Lab in Winnipeg.

Internet access across JandK to remain at 2G speed till March 17
Internet access across Jammu and Kashmir will be restricted to 2G speed and internet connectivity with Mac-binding will continue till March 17, the Union Territory administration said on Wednesday. New case of COVID-19, Total of confirmed cases in B.C. reaches 13
There's a new case of COVID-19 in British Columbia. That brings the total of confirmed cases in Canada to 34. Provincial Health Officer Doctor Bonnie Henry made the announcement. She says the latest person who is ill is a woman in her 80s and she is in critical condition. Henry says they are checking on any contacts the woman might have had with others.

Canadian military personnel in Iraq are on high alert following reports the novel coronavirus is spreading within the country. Chief of the defence staff Gen. Manslaughter charge laid in death of man at Vancouver homeless camp
Vancouver police say a man has been charged in the homicide of a 62 year old man at a homeless camp in the Downtown Eastside. Police say 50-year-old Glen Martin has been charged with manslaughter in the death of Jesus Cristobal-Esteban. Const. Tania Visintin says in a news release that Cristobal-Esteban suffered a serious head injury in an altercation on Jan. 1 and was taken to hospital where he died the next day. Strike possible by Saturday at Fairmont Empress hotel in Victoria
Workers have served strike notice at the Fairmont Empress, a well known landmark hotel in Victoria. A statement from Unifor Local 4276 says it represents almost 500 workers in several departments from housekeeping to groundskeeping. The strike notice expires at 8 a.m. Saturday.
