The Federal Court of Appeal has dismissed the latest challenge of the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion today. Four First Nations from British Columbia filed court challenges after the federal government approved the project a second time last June. A court hearing in December focused on the government's consultation with the First Nations between August 2018 and June 2019. The consultation took place after the Court of Appeal struck down the first project approval in August 2018 in part because of insufficient dialogue with Indigenous groups. Surrey RCMP charges 3 men with 15 crimes

Surrey RCMP say the man charged in a 2017 shooting and two of his alleged associates are each facing 15 new charges. Abd'l Malik Loubissi-Morris was arrested in December and Tien Roy Mai Dang was arrested last Thursday. Police say an arrest warrant has been issued for a third man, Noah Didhra, who is described as South Asian, 21 years old, five-foot-ten and 230 pounds. Mounties say the investigation had expanded to include Vernon, and Kelowna, where a search turned up about $177,000 , 6 fire arms, and significant quantities of fentanyl, heroin and other drugs.

The Anti-Evasion wing of Central Tax has busted a major racket by arresting one person, who was allegedly issuing fake invoices without actual supply of goods and thereafter availing of the input tax credit. One man missing after avalanche in northeastern B.C., Chetwynd RCMP

A man is missing after an avalanche in northeastern B.C. and RCMP say they won't be able to launch a search until snow conditions improve in the area. RCMP in Chetwynd say the man was with a group of snowmobilers in the area where the snow came down. Police say they had received a signal from an emergency beacon on Sunday. The signal came from the east face of the Murray Mountain Range, south of Pine Le Moray Provincial Park. Only road leading to the Sasquatch Mountain briefly re-opened

The only road leading to the Sasquatch Mountain Resort near Mission has been briefly re-opened after it was blocked by a mudslide on Friday. A Transportation Ministry spokeswoman says emergency repairs had progressed enough to allow for a one-way opening of the road for a short time to allow those still stuck at the resort to drive out of the area. Environment Canada has issued snow alerts in several areas of British Columbia for Tuesday. Special weather statements cover eastern and inland Vancouver Island, the Fraser Valley, Howe Sound, the Sunshine Coast and Metro Vancouver. 14-year-old snowboarder found safe and sound at B.C.'s Sun Peaks ski resort

The RCMP say a 14-year-old snowboarder who was missing near Kamloops, B.C., has been found ``safe and sound.'' The Mounties say the boy took a shuttle to the Sun Peaks Resort on Sunday morning but failed to catch the return shuttle to Kamloops in the afternoon. A 45-year-old man is feared drowned after falling into Okanagan Lake while riding an inflatable tube being towed behind a boat, according to West Kelowna RCMP.
