Calgary officers have seized more than 12-hundred firearms _ including more than 300 believed to have been used in a crime _ so far this year. Federal Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos has announced funding for organizations providing sexual education and resources for young people, those with disabilities and Indigenous communities. Duclos earmarked 2.8-million-dollars for the Sex Information and Education Council of Canada based in Montreal and the Centre for Sexuality in Calgary. He says many young people and those in certain communities suffer shame, stigma, the feeling of not being important and not having access to services to people they can trust.
