The Federal Court of Appeal has dismissed the latest challenge of the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion today. Surrey RCMP say the man charged in a 2017 shooting and two of his alleged associates are each facing 15 new charges. Abd'l Malik Loubissi-Morris was arrested in December and Tien Roy Mai Dang was arrested last Thursday. Police say an arrest warrant has been issued for a third man, Noah Didhra, who is described as South Asian, 21 years old, five-foot-ten and 230 pounds. Mounties say the investigation had expanded to include Vernon, and Kelowna, where a search turned up about $177,000 , 6 fire arms, and significant quantities of fentanyl, heroin and other drugs.

A man is missing after an avalanche in northeastern B.C. and RCMP say they won't be able to launch a search until snow conditions improve in the area. RCMP in Chetwynd say the man was with a group of snowmobilers in the area where the snow came down. Police say they had received a signal from an emergency beacon on Sunday. The signal came from the east face of the Murray Mountain Range, south of Pine Le Moray Provincial Park. The only road leading to the Sasquatch Mountain Resort near Mission has been briefly re-opened after it was blocked by a mudslide on Friday. A Transportation Ministry spokeswoman says emergency repairs had progressed enough to allow for a one-way opening of the road for a short time to allow those still stuck at the resort to drive out of the area. But she says in a statement that a lot of work still needs to be done before the road can be opened up to regular traffic. There's been a tragic end to a weekend search for three young men on southern Vancouver Island.RCMP Staff Sgt. Janelle Shoihet says the vehicle the three men were in was located near Sooke River Road on Sunday and the bodies of two of the men have been recovered.She says the search for the third man continues with the help of Juan de Fuca Search and Rescue.Police said in an earlier news release that Cory Mills, Eric Blackmore and AJ Jensen, all 20 years old, were last seen at a home in Sooke, B.C., late Friday night.The men were in a 2004 blue Dodge Dakota and it was unclear where they going.
