Three people arrested in police incident in Prince George
Shortly after 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 22, 2022, Frontline Police officers from the Prince GeorgeRCMP conducted a traffic stop with a suspicious vehicle. The driver did not stop for police but instead fled the area. When a second police vehicle attempted tostop the suspect vehicle around the area of 10 Avenue and Carney Street, the driver rammed thepolice car and fled from police a second time. IIO investigating police involved death in Vancouver
BC's police watchdog says it's investigating a police-involved death in Vancouver. The Independent Investigations Office says police received a report of a man acting erratically this morning. Vancouver police say the man went into medical distress after he was taken into custody following an ``interaction'' with officers and died at the scene. The IIO says it has begun an investigation to determine what role, if any, police actions or inactions played in the man's death.

Driver in hospital as police probe speed, medical issues in B.C. wedding crash
Police say the driver of an SUV that struck a wedding celebration in West Vancouver on Saturday, killing two people, remains in hospital as investigators look into whether speed or a medical incident was involved in the crash. Const. Nicole Braithwaite of West Vancouver Police told a press conference today that the scene of the incident at the 400 block of Keith Road was ``chaotic.'' Shooting followed by a car chase and vehicle fire in Surrey
RCMP are investigating after an apparent shooting followed by a car chase and vehicle fire last night in the Newton neighbourhood of Surrey. Mounties say a silver SUV was chasing another vehicle described as a newer-model black sedan. They say in a release that shots are believed to have been fired from the sedan and that the silver SUV was found engulfed in flames soon afterwards. Anyone with dashcam footage from the incident in the area of 68th Avenue between 151st and 152nd streets around 10:30 p-m is being asked to contact police.

Four men are facing multiple charges after Vancouver Police seized guns from inside the Hastings Street encampment Sunday morning. Witnesses asked to come forward following robbery with weapon at grocery store
At approximately 7:00 pm on August 17th the New Westminster Police Department received a 9-1-1 call from staff at a local grocery store. According to staff, Loss Prevention Officers at the grocery store approached a male observed stealing merchandise from the store. In response, this male began threatening staff and making stabbing motions while holding scissors and a knife. New Westminster Police Department officers rushed to the scene and located someone matching the suspect description a few blocks away. Punjab Vigilance arrests former minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu
The Punjab Vigilance Bureau on Monday arrested former Congress minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu from a local salon near the residence of Congress MP Ravneet Singh Bittu, according to a police official.
The vigilance bureau arrested Ashu in the case of allotting transportation tenders allegedly on the basis of fake registration numbers of vehicles.

Environment Canada issues special air quality statement for the Edmonton
Environment Canada has issued a special air quality statement for the Edmonton area.
The Air Quality Health Index was sitting at seven out of 10 this morning, which is considered to be a high risk.
Environment Canada says strenuous activities outdoors should be reduced or rescheduled.
It says the haze is from wildfires in Alberta and British Columbia.
Environment Canada predicts the AQHI will drop to a four - moderate risk on Monday night, and sit at three - low risk on Tuesday.
