Pakistan claims India can strike within 36 hours
Pakistan has expressed its fear of being attacked by India. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif's Information and Broadcasting Minister Ataullah Tarar issued a statement late at night claiming that India can take military action against Pakistan in the next 24 to 36 hours.

In Canada, Jonathan Pednault, the co-president of the Green Party at the federal level, has resigned from the party leadership. Pednault had to face a defeat in the Outremont riding of Montreal, finishing fourth, against the Liberal Party's Rachel Bendayan. Psychiatrist had concerns during fitness test for Calgary man accused of killing stranger
Court has heard that a psychiatrist who deemed a Calgary man fit to stand trial for a fatal attack on a woman had concerns the accused suffered from an underlying psychotic illness.
Michael Adenyi is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 30-year-old fitness instructor Vanessa Ladouceur in the city's downtown in March 2022.
The 29-year-old has testified he believed he was attacking a creature when he assaulted the woman and his lawyers are arguing he is not criminally responsible by reason of a medical disorder.

Calgary police investigating separate discoveries of human remains
Calgary police are investigating two separate discoveries of human remains in the past week. Unidentified human remains were discovered last Thursday by a pedestrian walking on a path in southwest Calgary.
Police were also called on Monday night after a pedestrian found potential remains on the side of the Bow River in the city's northwest.
They say the first individual has been identified as a 25-year-old man and his body was likely there for some time, while the other person hasn't been identified.

Black bear killed after attacking woman in Whistler, B.C.
Conservation officers in British Columbia say they killed a black bear after it attacked a woman walking her dog in Whistler.
A statement posted online by the Conservation Officer Service says the woman was walking her leashed dog in the Kadenwood neighbourhood around 8:30 p.m. on Monday when she was knocked to the ground and bitten by the bear.
The statement says she was taken to hospital by ambulance and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Conservation officers did a sweep of the area and located a black bear that matched descriptions of the animal.

Liberals outperform Bloc in Quebec
In Quebec, Liberals have defeated Bloc Quebecois by 10 seats. Before these elections, Bloc Quebecois had 33 seats in the House of Commons, which has now come down to 23.
However, Bloc leader Yves-François Blanchet easily won the riding of Beloit-Chambly. He defeated his rival Liberal candidate by nearly 10,000 votes.
There are a total of 78 parliamentary seats in Quebec, of which 43 went to the Liberals, while the Conservatives won 11 seats. Bloc Quebecois leader Yves-François Blanchet is also known as the separatist leader.
