The Supreme Court will hear Arvind Kejriwal's interim bail on May 7
The Supreme Court has agreed to hear the interim bail of Arvind Kejriwal, who is lodged in Tihar Jail in the Delhi liquor scam case. Due to the elections, the Supreme Court is going to hear on May 7.
A bench of Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice Dipankar Dutta said that Kejriwal's interim bail can be considered in view of the Lok Sabha elections, so that he can participate in the election campaign.
However, the apex court said Kejriwal's challenge to his arrest and remand, which is a main case, may take time. Interim bail will be considered only for participating in their election campaign.

Truck association leveled serious allegations against AAP MLA, Majithia demanded action
There are serious allegations against Aam Aadmi Party MLA Manwinder Singh Giaspura from Payal constituency of Ludhiana in Punjab.
Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia has made public a complaint of the truck association, which says that they are being charged one and a half lakh per acre for mining soil in Payal constituency.

Woman with a knife arrested at New Westminster, B.C., post-secondary school
NEW WESTMINSTER, B.C. Police in New Westminster, B.C., say they were called to a post-secondary school in the city when staff reported that a woman armed with a knife was inside the building.
The woman was not a student at the institution and police say students and staff feared for their safety.
Before police arrived, security had isolated the armed woman and police cleared out the building.
Police called in the emergency response team, which convinced the woman to give herself up and she was safely arrested.
Charges related to mischief and threats are being considered, police say.

TD Bank hit with $9.2M penalty after failing to report suspicious transactions
Canada’s financial intelligence agency says it has levied a $9.2-million penalty against The Toronto-Dominion Bank for non-compliance with money laundering and terrorist financing measures as the bank also faces compliance investigations in the U.S.
