An Ontario court has granted a 10-day injunction to prevent truckers parked on city streets in downtown Ottawa from honking their horns incessantly. Superior Court Justice Hugh McLean says the injunction is temporary because he needs to hear more evidence, but that he's heard enough to make this ruling. Several federal cabinet ministers held a news conference this afternoon to discuss what can be done to end the disruptive truck protest in Ottawa, but there's nothing concrete. Speaking at a grocery store in Surrey, Doerkson said that if elected premier, his government would raise the provincial basic personal income-tax exemption to $32,000. Bill C-39 Faces Vote in House of Commons Amid Strike Powers Controversy

Canada’s House of Commons is set to vote today on the federal government’s controversial Bill C-39, which aims to fast-track approvals for major projects. NDP parliamentary leader Don Davies has called the bill an attack on workers’ and Indigenous rights, as well as environmental protections. He said he is concerned about a growing trend of power being concentrated in the hands of cabi
