VPD seeks for witnesses after teen assaulted in mall

Vancouver Police are appealing for witnesses to a seemingly random assault that is alleged to have been committed on a 15-year-boy, and have released video of the incident with hopes that people will come forward. "Although we have arrested a suspect in this case, we are still gathering evidence," says Constable Tania Visintin. A Kamloops woman has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of arson following a joint investigation between the BC RCMP and BC Wildfire Service. On April 30, 2022, a resident in the Monte Lake area encountered a suspicious vehicle on a forestry road while investigating some smoke in the hills. The resident took note of the license plate and reported it to the RCMP.The community was alerted to this suspicious vehicle through a news release issued on May 3, 2022, which prompted other local residents to report their own encounters with the vehicle, driven by a woman.An investigation was

Trial date for Calgary terrorism suspect delayed a full year

The trial for a Calgary man accused of travelling to Syria to commit terrorism offences will occur exactly one year after it was originally scheduled. Jamal Borhot was charged in 2020 with three counts of participating in terrorist group activity after a seven year investigation by the RCMP.
