Moga police gets Lawrence Bishnoi's custody for 10 days

The court of chief judicial magistrate Preeti Sukhija in Malout sent Lawrence Bishnoi to ten-day police remand in an attempt to murder case on Monday. Bishnoi is an accused in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case. Senior Superintendent of Police, Moga, Gulneet Singh Khurana, said that Bishnoi was brought for questioning in an attempt to murder case filed in December 2021 in which the police had arrested a sharpshooter from Bishnoi's gang Monu Dagar. UCP candidate Aheer jumps in after participant flipped in running of the bulls event

A United Conservative Party leadership candidate leapt a fence to assist a man who was being trampled by a bull at the Strathmore Stampede east of Calgary over the weekend. A male participant was charged and flipped during the running of the bulls event on Saturday, and that's when Leela Aheer jumped in. Aheer, who represents the riding of Chestermere-Strathmore, can be seen in a video on social media trying to push the bull, which she later described as like ``trying to push a car.'' Others joined in and Aheer was able to help the man to safety over the fence.

On July 20th, at 3:43 am, AbbyPD Patrol Officers responded to a delayed report of a street robbery that occurred within the 2500 block of McCallum Road at 1:36 am. The 40-year-old female victim reported being robbed by four unknown males wearing dark clothing, all described as being in their late teens or early 20s.The suspects presented a firearm demanding money from the victim. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT), in partnership with the Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD), have obtained charges against a 48-year-old man. On July 28, 2022, at around 4:44 p.m., Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) responded to an assault at a residence in the 2900-block of Eastview Street, in Abbotsford. The Province is making monkeypox vaccines available to people in British Columbia. Although the number of cases in B.C. remains low, some community transmission has been identified.As of July 27, 2022, there were 61 cases of monkeypox in British Columbia. Dog to be euthanized after death of 86-year-old Calgary woman

The owners of three pit bulls who killed an elderly Calgary woman last month have surrendered one of the dogs to be euthanized. Smoki and two other dogs _ Cinnamon and Bossii _ attacked 86-year-old Betty Williams on June 5th as she was gardening. The owners have handed over ownership of Smoki in court. But they plan to fight to keep the other two animals at a court hearing to be held this fall.

Ukrainian president observes 1st grain exports leaving

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday visited the Odesa region to observe the loading of grain as exports resume for the first time since the start of the Russian invasion. Zelenskyy observed a Turkish ship loaded with grain. “The first vessel, the first ship is being loaded since the beginning of the war,” Zelenskyy said.
