An Alberta man has been charged with first-degree murder in relation to the 2018 homicide of 27-year old Kyle Cromarty of Chilliwack. Background: On October 4, 2018, while responding to a call of a man in medical distress in the 46600-block of Yale Road in Chilliwack, BC, officers from the RCMP’s Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment (UFVRD) located Kyle Cromarty suffering from fatal gunshot wounds. Ridge Meadows RCMP are actively investigating a suspicious death that occurred overnight. On November 24, at approximately 11:15 pm, Ridge Meadows front line officers responded to a report of a vehicle fully engulfed at the 14300 block of 256th Street. Maple Ridge Fire Department was on scene to extinguish the fire.
