Iran's judiciary has announced it has arrested "some individuals" in connection with the accidental downing of a Ukrainian airliner that claimed the lives of all 176 people aboard. B.C. police watchdog investigating fatal shooting of man in southern Interior

The Independent Investigations Office of British Columbia is investigating the fatal shooting of a man following an hours-long standoff with police in the southern Interior of the province. Skier dies after being caught in avalanche

Avalanche Canada says a skier who was caught in a snowslide on Friday in Banff National Park has died from her injuries. STARS Air Ambulance had said the 32-year old woman was flown to a Calgary hospital in life-threatening condition. Police investigating suspicious death in Maple Ridge

Police are investigating what they describe as a suspicious death in Maple Ridge, B.C. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says a body was found in a rural area of the city on Saturday.
