Shiromani Akali Dal candidate joins Aam Aadmi Party

Hardeep Singh Butrela, who was nominated as Lok Sabha candidate from Chandigarh by Shiromani Akali Dal, has joined Aam Aadmi Party after resigning from the party. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann welcomed Hardeep Singh Butrela at his residence in Chandigarh. Butrela was the president of the Chandigarh unit of the Akali Dal and the only councilor of the party in the municipal corporation. In the past, he had returned the candidature ticket to Sukhbir Badal saying that he was not getting any support from the party.
