A visiting Quebec student has died, five days after being injured in a crash between a transit bus and a delivery truck near Castlegar. The unnamed teenager had been on life support at Kelowna General Hospital since shortly after the June 30th collision on Highway 3A. She was with a group from Quebec that was on a five-week language program at Selkirk College and the president of the college says the death is a tremendous loss. The rate of unemployment in India rose to 7.8 per cent in June due to a sharp jump in unemployment in rural areas, the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) data showed on Tuesday.
