Woman in serious condition after shooting inside Guildford residence

The Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit is currently investigating a shooting that occurredinside of a residence in Guildford. Shortly before 12:00 a.m. on March 29, 2021, Surrey RCMP responded to a call from Emergency HealthServices reporting a shooting in a residence in the 16300-block of 113B Avenue. Frontline officers arrived and located a woman suffering from gunshot wounds. She was transported to the hospital in serious condition. 20 year old man identified as victim of homicide in Port Alberni

RCMP on Vancouver Island have identified the victim in what they now say is a homicide investigation. They say the 20 year old man from the Port Alberni and Ahousat areas was found on the street Saturday morning with stab wounds to his chest and died from the injuries. The investigation is ongoing and police say they believe the suspect and victim knew each other, and there is no ongoing risk to the public. Thousands of residents on British Columbia's south coast and southern Interior spent the night without power after a fierce windstorm blew through the region Sunday. IHIT says a man went on a stabbing spree around a library in North Vancouver and killed one women and injured six other people. Police Sgt. B.C. reports 908 new COVID-19 cases, third-highest daily total yet

British Columbia reported 908 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, the third-highest daily total in the province since the start of the pandemic. Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and Health Minister Adrian Dix say in a joint statement there are 6,245 active cases and 294 individuals in hospital, of whom 81 are in intensive care. Richmond RCMP is looking for witnesses, and possible surveillance video, after a home invasion in the 22000 block of Westminster Hwy last week. At approximately 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday March 23rd, a male and female couple were home watching television when their doorbell rang. Mounties say a 19 year old has life-threatening injuries after he was hit by a driver in Burnaby following a possible confrontation early Friday morning. 2 Killed in Horrific Crash Near Lytton, 44-Year-Old Charged a Year Later

A 44-year-old Williams Lake man has been charged in connection with a fatal crash on Highway 1 near Lytton last year that claimed the lives of two people. Joel Chenier has been charged under the B.C. Motor Vehicle Act with driving without due care and attention. The crash occurred around 5 p.m. on Aug. 14, 2025, near Spences Bridge. According to police, a black Ford SUV crossed the centre line of the highway and collided head-on with an oncoming pickup truck. The impact was so severe that both vehicles caught fire. A woman travelling in the SUV and a man in the pickup truck died at the scene.
