Stolen skid-steer recovered in Mission

Overnight on September 1-2, a Kubota skid-steer loader valued at over $150,000 was stolen from a construction site near Hope. The owner of the machine notified police, and investigators learned that the skid-steer had been transported to a rural property in Mission. A Search Warrant was obtained that same day, and the Lower Mainland Emergency Response Team attended to assist with safely executing the warrant. Officers from General Duty and Mission RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit then carried out a search of the property – a large acreage along Cameron Avenue – and located the stolen skid

Burnaby RCMP continues to search for missing person, George Lorry Wood

Burnaby RCMP are appealing for public help in finding a man who went missing nearly 10 years ago. RCMP say George Laurie Wood was last seen on June 20, 2015, when he was dropped off at the Surrey Central Sky Train station. Corporal Doug McLaughlin said there is no word yet on Laurie Wood. He said the search for Laurie Wood has not stopped and anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact Burnaby RCMP at 604-646-9999. Police said Laurie Wood is an Indigenous man, 5 feet 9 inches tall, with brown hair and eyes.

North Vancouver RCMP say a suspect has been arrested in connection with a string of tire slashings that damaged several vehicles in the Lynn Valley area last week.
